Bamboo Traditional Coffin

Hand-woven from all-natural bamboo that is sustainably grown and harvested on licensed farms. The base comprises a bamboo ply ‘eco board’ that ensures the structural integrity of the coffin (it can accommodate up to 150 kg) while keeping it 100% natural. Standard sizes are available, up to 213 cm (7 ft) in length. There is also a range of smaller sizes suitable for children and infants.
(Please note that pandas do NOT eat this species of bamboo; nor do they live in the province in which the bamboo is grown.)

Our bamboo eco coffins use natural bamboo that is sustainably grown and harvested on licensed farms. The Bamboo Round coffin has a curved-edged finish, creating a modern alternative to our other more traditional bamboo design. The strong bamboo frame is lightweight and robust, easily carrying up to 150 kg in weight. Bamboo strips are then wrapped around the frame to create a beautiful woven design, finished with earthy colours to give an natural finish.

Banana Traditional Eco Coffin

Made from coiled banana sheaves, with seagrass and rattan accents. The banana leaves used shed naturally every year. They are then twisted into ‘ropes’ for weaving around a strong rattan framework, making them lightweight but extremely secure. Available in adult sizes.
